Muhammad Asif Iqbal is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) leader, institutional head, entrepreneurship mentor, and workforce development practitioner with over 15 years of experience in skills development, institutional leadership, and entrepreneurship ecosystem strengthening. He currently serves as Principal at the Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) , Pakistan, where he leads initiatives focused on aligning vocational training with industry needs, strengthening employability pathways, and promoting entrepreneurship education.

He began his career in 2005 as an Electrical Trade Instructional Staff Member at Vocational Training Institute Bahawalpur, where he trained hundreds of trainees until 2018, contributing significantly to workforce capacity development. His hands-on experience in technical training and competency-based education laid the foundation for his leadership in skills system strengthening.

Muhammad is a member of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Speakers Bureau and a confirmed delegate of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2026. He is also a certified Master Trainer of Entrepreneurship trained through programs supported by GIZ, PVTC and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). He serves as a mentor with Next Qadam, supporting youth, trainers, and early-stage entrepreneurs in entrepreneurship, career development, and employability skills.

He actively contributes to strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystems through mentoring, trainer capacity building, and promoting industry-linked training models. He has collaborated with PVTC, GIZ, YES Network Pakistan, and industry partners to enhance skills development and entrepreneurship initiatives. He served as focal person for Social Entrepreneurship Week organized by YES Network Pakistan, and in recognition of his leadership, his institute was awarded the Change Maker Shield in 2018.

Muhammad has also demonstrated strong leadership in Network Marketing, where he led and mentored a team of over 200 members, focusing on leadership development, mentoring, and capacity building. This experience strengthened his expertise in coaching, team development, and entrepreneurial mindset building.

Academically, he holds a Master’s and M.Phil in Public Administration, providing strong expertise in governance, institutional leadership, and workforce development policy. His work focuses on strengthening TVET systems, promoting entrepreneurship education, and building sustainable pathways for youth employment and economic development.

In his current leadership role, Muhammad Asif Iqbal actively promotes industry–TVET collaboration by engaging with manufacturing and service sector organizations to align training programs with labor market demands. He has facilitated partnerships with industrial stakeholders to support work-based learning, industry exposure, and demand-driven skills development. His efforts contribute to improving workforce readiness and strengthening linkages between training institutions and industry.

He has extensive experience in Trainer of Trainers (ToT) programs, where he has trained and mentored instructors and Career Guidance & Job Placement Officers on entrepreneurship education, training methodologies, and competency-based learning approaches. His work supports institutional capacity building and ensures effective delivery of entrepreneurship and skills training programs across TVET institutions.

Muhammad has contributed to national and international capacity-building initiatives supported by organizations including GIZ, PVTC, and TEVTA. His participation in global platforms such as the Global Entrepreneurship Network strengthens his engagement with international ecosystem leaders and enables knowledge exchange on entrepreneurship, workforce development, and skills system strengthening.

His areas of expertise include entrepreneurship education, TVET leadership, workforce development, trainer capacity building, industry–institution collaboration, and employability skills development. He is committed to supporting inclusive economic growth by empowering youth, strengthening skills ecosystems, and promoting sustainable workforce development models aligned with global standards.

He remains actively engaged in mentoring, institutional development, and ecosystem collaboration to strengthen entrepreneurship and workforce development at national and international levels.

I have over 10 years of mentoring experience in skills development, entrepreneurship, and workforce readiness. As Principal of VTI Wazirabad, a GEN Speakers Bureau member, and Mentor with Next Qadam, I have guided hundreds of trainees, instructors, and early-stage entrepreneurs in business development, startup planning, employability skills, and career pathways. As a certified Master Trainer trained through GIZ-supported programs, I support trainer capacity building and youth empowerment across TVET institutions. I have collaborated with Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC), GIZ, Next Qadam, and industry partners to strengthen industry–institute linkages. My mentoring focuses on empowering individuals with practical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and confidence to succeed in evolving labor markets
