Jaianan Hirai

Jaianan (Jai) Hirai, founder of TECHDEV, an IT business that provides consultancy and services in Guyana, with over seventeen (17) years in the Information Technology field. Mr. Hirai worked with both government and private organizations, but that was not his desire. In 2002 as a teenager, after receiving major help with a broken computer he dearly needed to be fixed, his motivation to help other youths commenced. He knew he could make a difference in the lives of other youths if he can give them a trade/skill, he then later Co-founded A+ Computer Training Center (ACTC) in May of 2012, in which he exited in March of 2023.

An awardee of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) 2018, Ministry of the Presidency (Guyana), Department of Youths -National Youth Awardee 2019 for Science Technology and Innovation and a Caribbean Tech Entrepreneurship Program fellow (CTEP) 2019. His  qualifications range from CompTIA to Microsoft, internationally recognised  certification

He has a  passion for youth development and believes in order to see real changes and better communities, youths must be educated first. He works with youths of all ages in an effort to give them a skill/trade in Information Technology which include Computer Repairs, Networking and Robotics.

Current President for TECHSERVE INC, a non-profit in Guyana, that provides IT scholarships to youths  across Guyana, Mr. Hirai, to date, has spearheaded the training of approximately ninety (90) youths in Computer Repairs and Networking, sponsored by the US Embassy Guyana and other government ministries.

Mr. Hirai sees a future where he can expand these training to more youths in rural and hinterland parts in Guyana. He believes we can make better communities one youth at a time.
