Jose Ortiz

José Alejandro Ortiz, born on June 25, 1992, in Puerto Rico, is a prominent entrepreneur and mechanical engineer. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Residing in Isla Verde, Carolina, José leads several successful ventures.
José founded 2040 LLC in January 2024, a personal finance management company. Its flagship product, Eessii, helps users track financial goals. Since December 2016, he has been the CEO of Dame Un Bite, a leading food delivery service in Puerto Rico, achieving over $10 million in sales and serving 100,000 users. In 2020, he launched White Logistics, providing logistical solutions and generating $4 million in sales.
From 2014 to 2017, José co-founded Helei Corp., a social event platform. He also founded AppCreatrs, an idea platform supporting students in developing apps. His latest product, Amaia, provides businesses with agents to schedule appointments and manage calls.
José has worked at NASA Ames Research Center, Kimberly Clark Corporation, and Eli Lilly, gaining experience in design, engineering, and quality assurance. He also managed meal distribution for World Central Kitchen post-Hurricane Maria and was a top seller at Vector Marketing.
Fluent in Spanish and English, José is proficient in various software and tools, including MS Office, MATLAB, AutoCAD, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, and Bubble.io. At NASA Ames Research Center, he designed and analyzed an Acoustic Sound Apparatus for wind tunnels. As an intern at Kimberly Clark Corporation, he developed equipment layouts and safety access designs. At Eli Lilly, he optimized environmental monitoring processes, reducing time and increasing efficiency.
