Fourex has developed a self-service machine that will exchange almost any coin or note from over 150 countries for cash. Every time people return home from an overseas trip they will often bring home a hand full of foreign coins and notes. Before now, coins are not exchangeable, and the notes are often too small to warrant the fees charged to exchange them. The result is that most people have a drawer filled with money from multiple countries. Our machine accepts all of these currencies in a single deposit, and will pay out in up to three currencies. The fourex kiosk can even accept and exchange outdated currencies like Deutschmarks and Spanish Peseta's.
Our target market is everybody, including the people who have jar loads of pennies left over from their daily purchases. This is why we are placing our machines in high footfall transport networks, and our first contract is with The London Underground who sell in excess of 1.2 Billion tickets a year. By placing our kiosks in these locations we aim to target the millions of locals who have leftover currency, as well as the millions of tourists that visit London every year. Our kiosk can exchange foreign currency at better rates than any competitor because we do not have the same overhead, and our kiosks do not require staff.
We are about to challenge the currency exchange industry by mixing technology with common sense.
