Jeff Nuechterlein

Jeffrey Nuechterlein is Managing Partner of Nue Capital LLC, an investment management company he founded in 2000 to manage public and private equity investments. Based in in Alexandria, Virginia, Jeff manages a portfolio of more than 25 venture capital investments (primarily in early stage technology companies), a public equity fund that invests in companies across sectors, and numerous private equity fund investments.  Jeff also is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cartica Capital, a privately-held, long-only, SEC-registered equity manager with $3 billion in assets under management that is focused on investments in public companies in emerging markets.  In addition, Jeff serves on the boards of Chesapeake Lodging Trust (a NYSE-listed company) and Barington/Hilco Acquisition Corp. (a Nasdaq-listed company).  Jeff is a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s Standing Advisory Group.  Jeff earned his BA and JD from the University of Virginia and his MA and DPhil from Oxford University.
