Jeffrey Quinones

Mr. Quiñones is an accomplished communications and government relations professional. Jeffrey served for 16 years for US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as a Public Affairs Specialist engaging in media relations with outlets in Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Florida, as well as international media and Spanish language outlets. Before joining CBP he served as Deputy Director for the Office of Public Security Affairs, within the Office of the Governor of Puerto Rico, managing the State Homeland Security Grant program, with a budget of over $25 million to be disbursed to local first responders. He was Special Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Carolina, Puerto Rico, also serving as Director of Economic Development and Housing.

In the private sector, Jeffrey was the Director of Public Relations for Universidad Metropolitana, a branch of the Ana G. Mendez University. He also served as Station Director for WPUC-FM 88.9 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He has been Adjunct Faculty teaching coursework in Communications, Public Relations and Security at the Ana G. Mendez University, the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Sacred Heart University, and the Inter American University of Puerto Rico.

Mr. Quiñones attended the Joint Expeditionary Public Affairs Course at the Defense Information School (DINFOS) at Ft. Meade, Maryland.

Jeffrey has a Juris Doctor from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, a master’s degree in communication sciences from Illinois State University, and a bachelor’s in marketing from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. He is a member of the Phi Eta Mu Fraternity.

He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Fundacion Assistencia al Centro de Trauma (FACT) and for Obsidis Consortia Inc.
