Jenifer Flores

Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Jenifer Flores relocated to the United States in the early 2000s, embracing the journey of building a better future. With a degree in Nursing and a minor in Education, she spent 10 years in the medical field, where her dedication to service took root. However, her true calling lay in community advocacy, leading her to join the Language and Cultural Services Department at Tulsa Public Schools in 2018. There, she developed deep expertise in supporting immigrant families, fostering cross-cultural connections, and advocating for equitable opportunities.

Today, as the Director of Programs for New U, Jenifer spearheads initiatives designed to empower individuals to become the best versions of themselves. Under her leadership, New U has expanded to Latin America within just 10 months, offering programs in both English and Spanish through in-person and virtual cohorts. She has facilitated global workshops, including a high-impact session with 80 participants in Lima, Peru, in December 2024.

With over 20 years of experience as a Spanish and English interpreter, Jenifer possesses a unique ability to connect with and uplift non-English-speaking families and immigrant communities. A passionate advocate for equity, she firmly believes in breaking down barriers to ensure access and opportunity for all, regardless of background.

Her influence extends beyond New U—she is a recognized Hispanic Leader in Tulsa, a Leadership Tulsa graduate, and a sought-after speaker at immigrant-focused and global entrepreneurial conferences. In recognition of her unwavering commitment to community empowerment, she was honored with the 2025 Hispanic Pride Award (Orgullo Hispano) by Mita’s Foundation.
