Jennifer Rumsey

Jennifer Rumsey is the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Cummins Inc., a global power leader that offers its customers a broad portfolio of innovative power solutions and technologies, including advanced diesel, natural gas, electric and hybrid powertrains; batteries; fuel cells; hydrogen production technologies; and related components. Rumsey oversees the strategic direction, growth initiatives and global operations for the 106-year-old, Indiana-based company, which has more than 69,900 employees worldwide and achieved more than $34.1 billion in revenue in 2024. 

Prior to serving as Chair and CEO, Rumsey served as President and Chief Operating Officer, where she co-authored Destination Zero, the company’s strategy to go further, faster to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) and air quality impacts of its products. She has served in multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Components and Chief Technical Officer, two roles where she oversaw the advancement and launch of many new products that continued to progress the company’s efforts reduce emissions while offering industry-leading performance. 

Rumsey holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
