John Cockburn-Evans

John is a highly respected productivity consultant and certified leadership Coach (PCC) with international operational leadership experience with major corporations such as BASF, DuPont and Total.  He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer, Fellow of the I.Chem.E and Chartered Management Institute.  He also led the UK arm of an international consultancy. He has delivered large operational excellence and cultural transformation improvement programmes in countries such as Russia, Ukraine, UAE & Qatar and acts as a startup NED in manufacturing. He is a published author on cultural transformation and designed and delivered a module for an eMBA  programme. John has worked globally in both management consulting and in senior leadership coaching and understands the cultural challenges within large organisations. His seminal book "Coaching for Cultural Transformation; Staying Competitive in Changing Environments"  demonstrates how you can use structured Lean based approaches interwoven with leadership and individual coaching to transform organisations and ensure they stay completive. 

John has now turned his attentions to building the company Engaged Intelligence Ltd. which he co-founded in Cambridge UK with Ben Chalmers.  The company has developed a SaaS product, Trust Locus® which is an agile, dynamic, anonymous and discretionary survey approach, which is different to other corporate products and engenders trust because it uses these attributes. As relationships improve there will be a compound effect on trust building, leading to better productivity, better engagement, better teamwork, lower attrition and many other improvements. Trusting and Trustworthy organisations have a 2.5 to 3 x better overall business performance. Connection to standard platform tools like ”Slack” make it easier to access, thus reducing friction and increasing usability. This leads to higher quality data. Because the system uses multi-faceted elements, like Trust Index, Sentiment Feedback and Confidential journaling that builds not just trust between employees and leaders but a stronger sense of self-worth.
