Juan Diego Bernal

I am a venture capital professional and business strategist dedicated to helping innovative entrepreneurs build impactful businesses. My career has been shaped at the intersection of finance, strategy, and entrepreneurship, where I focus on connecting founders with the capital, expertise, and networks they need to grow.

Currently, I serve as Sourcing Lead at Angeles Investors, one of the largest angel networks supporting Latino-founded ventures in the U.S. In this role, I evaluate startups across AI, SaaS, fintech, deep tech, proptech, and consumer products, and help connect them with investors who can accelerate their growth. I also scout for LvlUp Ventures, a Forbes-recognized next-generation VC fund, where I source high-potential startups and open doors for them to scale with strategic partners.

Beyond venture capital, I work as a Consultant at Revby LLC, providing technical assistance to small businesses through partnerships with the City of Cambridge and the City of Boston. I help business owners strengthen their financial management, prepare for succession, and access growth opportunities such as city contracts. In these projects, I’ve led workshops and one-on-one advising sessions that give entrepreneurs practical tools to sustain and scale their businesses.

I am actively involved in professional communities, serving on committees for ALPFA Boston and volunteering with the Latinx MBA Association, where I help design leadership summits and corporate partnerships that expand opportunities for diverse professionals and founders.

I hold a dual MBA and Master of Finance from Hult International Business School in Boston and a law degree from Colombia. My guiding thesis is “Empowering the Unseen: Investing in Underrepresented Founders Driving Economic and Social Impact.” I believe that by dedicating time, capital, and resources to these innovators, we unlock not only new business opportunities but also the potential to create inclusive growth and long-term societal change.

While I am not an entrepreneur myself, I am deeply connected to this environment. My focus is on enabling and empowering founders — supporting them in turning bold ideas into thriving businesses that create meaningful impact. At the same time, I am actively looking for a full-time opportunity in venture capital, corporate development, or strategic finance that will allow me to continue this mission while providing for my growing family, with my first child arriving this October.
