As An Entrepreneur

Started her business in her family room as a single mom motivated by the need of a flexible schedule. Jumana has been a commercial appraiser for 30 years where she has learned the inevitable lesson of agility and anticipation of market disruptions. While several businesses filed for bankruptcy as a result of the Great Recession and then again COVID-19, she focused on reinventing herself to meet changing market demands. Recognizing the need to stay competitive, Jumana constantly re-evaluates her business strategy and refocuses on changes in the marketplace. Anticipating market disruptions and the ability to remain agile has been the key to her success.

As a Leader for Women

Recognizing the need for an organization focused solely on the business and entrepreneurial aspirations of women, in 2007 Jumana stated the Arab-American Women’s Business Council (AAWBC) (www.aawbc.org). The AAWBC mission is to inspire Arab-American women to achieve success by empowering, developing, and helping built strong and lasting connections. This organization has grown dramatically over the years and has established itself the go to for women seeking to secure their economic future.

As a Speaker/Lecturer

Motivated by the need to share her life stories and skillsets, Jumana regularly lectures to community, student, and business groups on success traits, work/life balance, overcoming discrimination, networking, business planning, along with financial planning. She regularly educates attorneys on the concept of appraising for litigation purposes.

As A Mentor/Coach

Having dedicated her entire adult life for the advancement of women in general, and Arab-American women in specific, Jumana regularly mentors young ladies seeking the advice of senior women as they embark on a new journey either in the corporate world or as entrepreneurs. She works closely with various mentees to analyze their challenges and develop a sustainable strategy. She assists women to gain clarity on opportunities and challenges that affect them and teaches them to unlock their growth potential. Generating leads, pricing and systemic business strategy are issues she focuses on in mentoring women.
