Kaye-Maree Dunn

“I te taha o tōku Papa ko Ngatokimatawhaorua te waka, ko Panguru ki Papata ngā maunga Teitei, ko Whakarapa te awa, ko Ngati Manawa te hapū, ko Ngati Manawa te marae, ko Te Rarawa te iwi. I te taha o tōku Mama, ko Ngāti Mahanga, ko Ngāi Tāmanuhiri rātou ko Ngāti Kahungunu ngā iwi.”

Managing Director Kaye-Maree Dunn, alongside her brother Mita, founded Making Everything Achievable (MEA) in 2010. Recognised by the media as a “wahine Māori tech entrepreneur,” she has left an indelible mark in the Digitech industry. Within MEA, she finds purpose, expressing her commitment to leveraging influence for social and collective impact, aspiring to transform lives. Her vision is a waka journeying towards a destination where the team is healthy, thriving, financially and emotionally prosperous, with time for self and whānau, and inner peace as the ultimate goal.

As the Managing Director of Ahau NZ Limited and Indigital Blockchain Limited, Kaye-Maree extends her leadership to various fronts. Engaged with the North Hokianga Development Trust and Āhau Tātai Hono Trust, she is also a Sir Edmond Hillary Fellow and a Senior Atlantic Fellow through the University of Melbourne.
With a focus on relationship building, strategy, facilitation, and human-centred design, Kaye-Maree ensures individuals have the tools and support needed to govern with confidence. For the past seven years, she has collaborated with Te Whare Hukahuka, working with rangatahi and iwi groups in the Ka Eke Poutama program, actively contributing to New Zealand’s economic potential by uplifting the transformative capability of whānau, hapū, and iwi.

Having dedicated over 24 years to Maori and Community development, Kaye-Maree's career spans across Child, Youth, and Family, The Department of Labour, The Māori Land Court, and NZ Maori Tourism and Community Housing. She has served on various boards, including NZ Tech, Te Paepae Arahi, and Hui E Community. Her recent endeavours include Social Enterprise Development, Governance Training, E-Commerce Development, and Whānau Ora Planning.

Residing in Wainuiomata, with roots in Feilding, Kaye-Maree finds joy in singing, eating, and spending time with friends. In 2023, she was honoured as the Māori Entrepreneur of the Year at the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Awards by The Global Entrepreneurship Network New Zealand (GEN NZ) and awarded Kaiāwhina of the Year in the Te Hapori Matihiko Awards.
