Hyoung Jung IM

Hyoung Jung Im is an accomplished executive with a distinguished career in the automotive industry, renowned for his strategic leadership and extensive experience in global business operations. He currently serves as the President & CEO of Waglemedia Co. Ltd., based in Seoul, Korea.
Im began his career journey at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Seoul, where he played a pivotal role in the export of construction equipment to Latin America from 1993 to 1999. His early experiences laid the foundation for his expertise in international business and market expansion strategies.
In 1999, Im transitioned to Kia Motor Company, where he held various managerial positions within the Commercial Vehicle Special Vehicle Export Team and Latin America Regional Headquarters. During his tenure, he focused on developing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for light commercial vehicles and passenger cars across Latin America and Europe.
In 2005, Im joined Hyundai Motor Company, marking the beginning of a transformative period in his career. He initially led the Commercial Vehicle Latin America Team from Seoul, overseeing the export operations to Latin America. His success led to his appointment as the Head of Commercial Vehicle Latin America Regional Headquarters in Panama City, Panama, where he significantly boosted sales volume and market share across the region from 2013 to 2016.
Im's leadership prowess continued to flourish as he took on more senior roles within Hyundai Motor Company. He assumed broader responsibilities as the Vice President of the Commercial Vehicle Export Group and the Head of MEA Headquarters, based in Dubai, UAE.
In his most recent roles at Hyundai Motor Company, Im played a critical role in pioneering new business development initiatives and enhancing service innovations for hydrogen and electric commercial vehicles globally. He successfully navigated complex international markets, negotiating lucrative deals and establishing strategic partnerships that propelled Hyundai's commercial vehicle business to new heights.
Im holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from Korea University. His multilingual proficiency in Korean, English, and Spanish has been instrumental in fostering international collaborations and business negotiations throughout his career.
