Kenneth Krull

Ken Krull was an original mentor, supporter and advisor to the nonprofit Foundry program when it was created in 2010. In 2012 Ken became a director of that program and co-designed the new peer cohort program. In 2013, with the help of JPMorgan Chase and Ally bank Ken created the nonprofit Quatere for the improvement of entrepreneurs and to further the field of entrepreneurship. Quatere was the recipient of the 2015 Regional Innovation Strategy Award from the Commerce Department and the related 2014 i6 Seed Award from the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Ken was part of the founding team at Mercato Partners where he serves as an Operating Partner. Prior to Mercato Partners, Ken was one of the founding limited partners at vSpring Capital and worked on the investment team where he served on the board of directors and as board advisor to bio-medical, enterprise security and technology services businesses. He served as a Director of Cymphonix Corporation and oversaw investments in Fusion-io and Control4. He also served as a Director of MediConnect Global. Ken was the CEO of Avinti, an enterprise security company, which was later acquired. Prior to his work at Avinti and vSpring, Ken was the Director of Enterprise Protection at TrendMicro, where he designed and developed the channel partner strategy and programs. Ken led a business unit at Peregrine Systems. Prior to Peregrine, Ken led Viewpoint Digital’s relationships with Microsoft and acquired the ThinkFish artistic rendering group. He was also employed at Folio, where he proposed and managed innovative products in the early days of the Internet, search technology and SGML. Ken has been adjunct professor at the University of Utah where he taught new venture finance for seven years. Ken is an independent board member on the Salt Lake County Revolving Loan Fund and oversees several awards programs and competitions for entrepreneurs. Ken graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Economics and received an MBA from the Marriott School of Management.
