Kelby Kupersmid

Kelby Kupersmid is an executive coach, leadership development facilitator, entrepreneur, and educator who has spent more than a decade helping founders, executives, and mission-driven leaders turn ambition into sustainable performance.

He is the founder of Kinetic Development, where he works with entrepreneurs, executive teams, and organizations navigating growth, complexity, and change. His work sits at the intersection of leadership, entrepreneurship, and organizational performance. Rather than treating business challenges as purely strategic problems, Kelby helps leaders examine the internal patterns, interpersonal dynamics, and operating habits that often determine whether a strategy succeeds or stalls.

Kelby has coached leaders from startups, Fortune 100 companies, public institutions, and international organizations, including senior leaders at Microsoft and Walmart, and leaders from the United Nations. He has also worked with hundreds of founders and entrepreneurs around the world, supporting them through the realities of building companies, leading teams, making high-stakes decisions, and growing without losing themselves or the mission that motivated them to begin.

Kelby is the world's youngest Master Certified Coach (MCC), the highest credential awarded by the International Coaching Federation. He has spent years training and mentoring other coaches, including designing coach education programs. His approach draws from ontological coaching, authentic relating, conscious leadership, and organizational development.

A central idea in Kelby’s work is that performance is often less about adding more capability and more about removing interference. Leaders frequently possess more intelligence, creativity, and experience than they are able to access consistently. The work is to identify what gets in the way—avoidance, overcontrol, unclear agreements, perfectionism, conflict avoidance, reactive decision-making, or outdated assumptions—and create the conditions for better judgment and action.

His work with entrepreneurs is particularly focused on sustainable high performance. Many founders are taught how to raise capital, build products, sell, and scale, but receive far less support in learning how to lead themselves and other people under pressure. As companies grow, the founder’s own patterns often become embedded in the culture. A leader who avoids conflict can create an organization that avoids hard conversations. A leader who struggles to delegate can become the bottleneck. A leader who equates intensity with commitment can unintentionally build a culture of burnout. Kelby helps entrepreneurs recognize these patterns early and build the leadership capacity required for the next stage of growth.

Kelby is especially drawn to social entrepreneurs, purpose-driven founders, and leaders trying to create both economic value and positive impact. His work helps them sharpen decision-making, build stronger teams, navigate difficult conversations, create accountability without unnecessary control, and lead with greater clarity under pressure.
