Conrad Kwachou

Introduction
My name is Conrad Kwachou, born on May 29, 1976, in Cameroon. Over the years, I have cultivated a profound passion for learning, innovation, systems design, the arts, and community service. These interests have significantly influenced both my professional and personal endeavors.

Education
My academic journey began at the University of Buea, where I attained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. My research paper, Internal Control and Organizational Effectiveness: Case Study of Technical Services Department of the Cameroon Development Corporation, ignited my interest in organizational efficiency and financial management.

Eager to broaden my horizons, I pursued a Master of Science in Sustainable Development, specializing in Regional Planning and Project Management, at the Pan African Institute for Development – West Africa. My thesis, An Assessment of Cooperative Land Readjustment Tool for Urban Renewal and Slum Eradication: Case Study of Makepe Missoke, Douala, Cameroon, addressed pressing urban challenges and underscored my commitment to enhancing my community's well-being.

Career Journey
I embarked on my professional career in 1999 as an Internal Auditor and Head Office Accountant at Zion Credit Financing, where I refined my analytical skills and attention to detail, paving the way for subsequent opportunities in the financial and development sectors. My career trajectory progressed as I served as Assistant Manager at Shalom Fashion Designs and Regional Accountant at the Pan African Institute for Development - West Africa (PAID-WA).

At PAID-WA, I held multiple positions, including Head of IT Services, Program Coordinator for E-Learning, Corporate Relations Officer, Lecturer of Business Studies, and Budget Controller. I moved to the Institut Panafricain pour le Developpement - Afrique Central as 'Controlleur Budgetaire'. Each role enriched my understanding of organizational dynamics and fueled my passion for education and community engagement.

With over 20 years of experience in budget control, financial management, auditing, project management, and consultancy services, I have developed extensive expertise in regional and urban planning, project management, and statistical analytics. I have conducted public and in-house training for numerous listed and multinational companies, intergovernmental organizations, and universities. I have also had the privilege of advising over 100 companies on tax issues, project management, and business systems reengineering, with a keen focus on fostering sustainable growth.

Entrepreneurial Ventures
My entrepreneurial spirit has led me to establish several ventures, including 2As Production, Crispy Delights, and AKIG Ltd. AKIG Ltd focuses on financial services, real estate, and scientific studies. Recently, I launched two innovative ecosystems: Vuma and Sawa. Vuma is a financial inclusion ecosystem integrated with DeFi, connecting lenders, borrowers, and all relevant stakeholders in a secure and transparent environment. Sawa, on the other hand, is a transformative waste management ecosystem utilizing a DeFi and crypto-integrated platform, allowing households, individuals, and organizations to earn rewards for properly sorting and disposing of their waste, thereby promoting sustainability and circular economies. Through these initiatives, I aim to create lasting opportunities for growth and contribute positively to my community's socio-economic development.

Personal Life
I am fortunate to share my life with a loving wife, Cathy, and five wonderful children: Yathar, Yadah, Yanni, Yaron, and Yadiel, who inspire me daily. Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy in listening to and creating deeply inspiring music, engaging in arts and crafts, DIY gardening/animal husbandry, reading, and participating in intellectual games. These pursuits enrich my life and provide a cherished outlet for my creativity.
