Naveen’s career reflects over three (3) decades in operational leadership management, strategic human resources management, quality management, and organizational development in highly centralized and decentralized organizations with extensive experience and consummate achievements building multiple best-in-class organizations. He is a Fellow Certified Practitioner with the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).

Naveen has directly in the last eighteen (18) years has held Executive role in Human Resources in large corporate business houses in Fiji including 4-, 5- and 7-Star Hotels and Resorts, Fiji’s largest Electrical-Utility Company and Retail Company in managing workforce size ranging from 600 - 1,900+. He was not only mentored by great stalwarts and business leaders/founders where he had worked but was also inspired by his fellow colleagues with his career’s success. He has not only sat on various Fijian Companies Board as its Director but has represented Fiji in International Sub-committee and Boards.

Naveen has an extensive practical application, knowledge and expertise in Innovative training and development and experience in the design, delivery, evaluation, and enhancement of effective instructional programs and management assessment models. He has been decorated with being the innovative problem solver and tagged as a very strategic decision maker. He has the penchant for research interests leading to the implementation of the Innovation Framework, a very first Fijian Innovation Framework, researched and developed by his very own Team. Naveen is a highly articulate and effective communicator with excellent team-building and interpersonal skills; works well with individuals at all levels. Highly recognized as resource person, innovative and creative leader. A leader skilled in attracting the most qualified employees and matching them to jobs for which they are well suited.

Naveen has an impressive record of streamlining operations, developing and implementing organizational solutions and applying overall human resources expertise to impact accomplishment of strategic goals. In the last two (2) decades he has developed young local Team Leaders and Managers for multiple organizations in Fiji.

Naveen not only locally but globally has held extensive interviews and appeared on local news channels and also undertook Paper Presentations and represented Fiji in the Global HRD arena. This exposure only motivated a next generation of young leaders. His focus and vision remained very steadfast. Naveen has been decorated with multiple global and local awards in human resources, quality management, innovation, health, safety and leadership. He has been acknowledged and recognized as 100 TOP HR MINDS IN HOTEL INDUSTRY, at the World HRD Congress, Mumbai, India 17 February 2018.

Naveen has been the instrument in the design and implementation of the sustainable local organizational awards framework suiting to recognize the Teams and Individuals organizationally which for over two (2) decades down the lane, organizations still thrive on the framework. In this process he founded the “Lakshya” Awards. Lakshya means vision. The Lakshya Awards was established two (2) decades ago. He personally funded the recognition program that recognized deserving individuals that today are great young leaders. He also supported the departmental safety recognition programs, corporate social responsibility programs and he also supported staff welfare programs be it wedding, farewell or funeral in the family. He made significant strides into connecting with the ‘vuvale’ personally under his Lakshya banner.

Naveen, started to write his “own hand written story” in the year 2015 in his red A4 sized ruled foolscap book as part of a future publication.
