Lisa Ferguson

Lisa Ferguson is a trailblazer in the North American home furnishings industry. When she was only 19, Lisa was already working with Canada’s top retailers including The Bay, Sears, The Home Depot, and Eaton’s, leading their home furnishings product development and manufacturing initiatives. As a trusted C-suite advisor, she would walk her clients across factory floors in Asia guiding them in product design and merchandising strategies.

In 2000, Lisa established her own highly successful residential interior design firm, which now boasts over 400 luxury design projects.

Lisa’s guiding motto has always been “mutual win” and in 2010, she pioneered a North America-wide peer mentoring initiative called DecorMentor – a best-practices sharing social collaboration to help fellow designers build profitable design businesses.

Through DecorMentor, Lisa also developed high profile social media marketing partnerships for the home furnishings industry. Her efforts brought designers, retailers, buyers, and manufacturers together, creating strategic wins for all parties.

In 2013, Lisa became one of the first facilitators of Gallup’s StrengthsFinder® Assessment. Leveraging this powerful tool, Lisa recently launched the “1000 WATT LIFE,” a platform that helps people build a life that lights them up, using their natural strengths.

Lisa is also currently working on an exciting global initiative with Opportunity International – a charitable organization that empowers people living in poverty through micro-financing. She is connecting influential women from the design business in North America to women entrepreneurs in developing countries, creating large-scale global business opportunities.
