Luis Gonzalez currently oversees Small Business Growth Philanthropy Strategy and Operations for Wells Fargo Bank.

Mr. Gonzalez joined Wells Fargo in 2014 overseeing corporate communications and public relations efforts in Southern California. He brings over 23 years of experience working in community relations, media relations, corporate philanthropy and community-based initiatives. His efforts have aided in the implementation of various programs focused on small business growth, education, health and human services, civic projects and economic development for communities.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Gonzalez managed Social Impact and Sustainability initiatives for Wells Fargo Bank in Los Angeles County and Southern California. His work included community development initiatives and oversight of grant-funding efforts on behalf of Wells Fargo Bank and the Wells Fargo Foundation.

His previous efforts have included work with the national settlement house movement and collaboration with United Neighborhood Centers of America on developing multiple critical services for communities. In addition, his work has supported community engagement for International delegations through the US State Department and advocacy work with various local, regional and national organizations including, the Congressional Black Caucus 21st Century Council, National Council of La Raza (UnidosUS), Head Start the US Latino American Chamber of Commerce and many others on key community and economic issues.

Mr. Gonzalez is a United States Marine Corps veteran who served in military operations in the Middle East and understands the needs of our diverse global community. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an Emphasis in Media Management from San Diego State University a Masters in Management from National University and is a graduate of the San Diego Public Leadership Institute. He has served on various boards focused on community and economic development including the Grid Alternatives Greater Los Angeles Board, the Southern California Grant Makers Corporate Leadership Council, and the Los Angeles Small Business Ecosystem Advisory Council.
