Lukhanyo Manisi

Mr. Lukhanyo Manisi is an accomplished Enterprise, Supplier Development, and Business Incubation strategist with extensive experience within government, non-profit, and private sectors in South Africa. Currently serving as the Centre Manager of an SMME Business Incubator (Hybrid), in partnership with Small Enterprise Development Agency which is a subsidiary of the Department of Small Business Development. Mr. Manisi plays a crucial role in strategizing and implementing comprehensive ESD and business incubation programs. His responsibilities include developing the centre's strategy, overseeing its operational plan, securing funding, managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and leading both the strategic and day-to-day management.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Manisi was a Business Advisor for Anglo American under the Zimele Enterprise Development Programme where he managed and rolled out Supplier Development Programmes within the mine’s host communities. His work included the facilitation of SME training and mentoring, implementing operational plans, and ensuring adherence to B-BBEE requirements.
Mr Manisi was part of the groundwork in the rollout of Opportunity Centres project in Johannesburg where he fulfilled the opposition of a Business Advisor: ESD under the City of Joburg Municipality: Department of Economic Development. From February 2022 to July 2022, he also served as the Acting Centre Manager for Economic Development under the same department, focusing on enhancing SME sustainability and managing the infrastructure of opportunity centres.

Mr. Manisi's educational background is equally impressive. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the Management College of Southern Africa and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from the same institution. His academic credentials are complemented by multiple certifications in Local Government Management, Project Management, and Business Advisor Foundation, among others, which equip him with a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of business development and governance.

His skill set includes advanced capabilities in program and business management, project implementation, financial management, and strategic stakeholder engagement. Mr. Manisi is also proficient in staff management and performance oversight, which are critical for the successful operation of any business initiative.
