Muhammad Aliyu

Muhammad Aliyu was born and raised in Mokwa, Nigeria, and is currently an entrepreneur in training/practice at Carnegie Mellon University Africa. He is a project manager, community builder/manager, workshop facilitator, and public speaker.
Muhammad has a background in Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Design, Leadership & Management, and Information Technology, having studied at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria; Nigerian University of Technology and Management; Valar Institute (a division of Quantic School of Business and Technology); and Carnegie Mellon University Africa.
He founded Ignite Research Academy, a research institute that promotes multidisciplinary STEM-led research in Africa, and the Africa Innovator Society (CMU-Africa Entrepreneurship Club), which is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial spirit and skills among CMU-Africa students. He has initiated various technology-focused communities and, through the Nigerian Association of Computing Students, has designed and implemented initiatives to upskill over 20,000 students across Nigeria in partnership with Financial Service Innovators, Oracle Academy, Microsoft ADC, Wema Bank, and Google Developers Communities (Keffi, Bida, and Nile University, Abuja).
Muhammad is dedicated to training people, building, and pioneering solutions and products that not only make life easier but also transform Africa into a continent of prosperity, shifting the mindset of Africans from scarcity to abundance. He is committed to helping students, entrepreneurs, and leaders find and celebrate their own paths to success.
