His mission was clear: to preserve and elevate African cultural heritage while creating sustainable livelihoods for local artists. Recognizing the importance of collaboration, Christian partnered with the NGO Guardians of Peace, an organization committed to safeguarding and perpetuating Congo’s artistic talents. Together, they work to keep the beautiful craftsmanship of African artisans alive, showcasing their work through a Shopify store, Lukuni.com, which serves as a digital gallery and marketplace for authentic African art.

One of the core challenges Christian faces is the high cost of international shipping, primarily due to the nature of the artworks—many crafted from malachite and other underground minerals. These materials are classified as mineral exports, attracting high government taxes which significantly increase shipping expenses. Christian is actively engaged in advocacy efforts to persuade government authorities to reduce these taxes, aiming to make African art more accessible and affordable for global buyers. His work also involves raising funds to support the Guardians of Peace NGO, ensuring they can continue their vital mission of nurturing and perpetuating Congo’s rich artistic traditions.

Christian’s work is more than just business—it's a form of cultural preservation and empowerment.
