Mr. Njie is the Publisher cum Managing Editor of Mansa Banko Online- www.mansabanko.gm the only Agricultural Online Newspaper in Banjul, The Gambia covering news globally focusing on human interest stories with special attention on Agriculture, Youth, Migration, Entrepreneurship and Culture.

His research focuses on migration, youth and agriculture and he regularly write stories on business, migration, and agriculture.

Mr. Njie has developed professional capacity in providing coaching and mentoring for young journalists and youth in The Gambia with more attention on agriculture, migration, business and ICT.

He has worked with international media organisation like the Washington Post, USA, The African Voice Newspaper in USA, TVC News in Nigeria just to name few.
In 2012, Mr. Njie has participated in the designing of the National Agricultural Land and Water Management Development Project (Nema)- the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) finance project in the Gambia. He was appointed a member of the Project Steering Committee of the National Agricultural Land and Water Management Development Project (Nema).

Mr. Njie has also participated in many youth initiatives as well as IFAD Missions team visit to the Gambia on its participatory and widely consultative visits countrywide of its supported projects in the Gambia.
In 2019, he also participated in the widely consultation of the designing and formulation of the Nema 2 looking at the youth component of the follow-up project- Agricultural Development: Resilience of Organizations for Transformative Smallholder Agriculture Programme (ROOTS) Project.
At the international level, he is working to build consensus on food security-related issues. He has also encouraged closer cooperation with development partners, supports South-South cooperation, and has increased collaboration with civil society and private sector entities, including farmer organizations and cooperatives for smallholder producers.

Njie is a motivational speaker, trainers, coach and a mentor to many young Gambians youths. He had travelled widely in Africa and Europe attending seminars, conferences and workshops.
