Marco Mizzau

Marco Mizzau is a Global CEO, Founder and Strategic Advisor with 26 years of leadership across finance, industrials, healthcare, infrastructure and technology. Recognized for his ability to transform complex organizations into scalable, high-performance platforms, he operates at the intersection of strategy, capital, artificial intelligence and execution.

Marco has led national institutions, global industrial platforms, and private-equity-backed companies through accelerated growth, digital reinvention, cross-border expansion and large-scale organizational transformation. His experience spans Europe, the Middle East and emerging markets, consistently delivering rapid value creation and system-level change in highly complex environments.

Previously, he served as CEO of Consip, Italy’s €27B national procurement and digital supply-chain platform, where he led the full digitalization of public procurement two years ahead of national targets, enabling €4B in annual public savings.

Before Consip, he was CEO of Inarcassa, one of Italy’s largest institutional investors (€14B AUM), where he launched the organization’s first Industrial Plan, ESG Plan and Digital Transformation Program, driving long-term investment strategies in the real economy and private markets.

From 2012 to 2019, Marco served as Chief Operating Officer of Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, overseeing major operational, infrastructural and research-driven expansions that positioned the institution as a national leader in healthcare, education and biomedical innovation.

Earlier in his career, Marco held senior roles at Accenture, Ernst & Young and KPMG, leading strategic, financial and digital transformation programs for global corporations and infrastructure groups across Europe, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East. He began his career at Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, contributing to strategic planning and the Group’s privatization process.

Since 2025, he has acted as Strategic Advisor to global private-equity funds, supporting M&A-driven growth, digital acceleration and international expansion across healthcare, fintech, industrial and technology platforms. He often steps in as Co-CEO, Board Advisor or Operating Partner to turn investment theses into operational reality.

Marco is also the Founder & Chairman of PrivateEquity.AI, an independent research hub exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping private markets, investment strategy and value creation models.

He holds a degree with honors from LUISS Guido Carli University and completed advanced executive programs at Wharton, INSEAD, IESE, SDA Bocconi, MIT and Harvard Business School.
