Marisol Marcelo

Marisol Estrella Marcelo is a dedicated community leader whose work is driven by her core values of youth empowerment, death care awareness, advocacy for the Hispanic community, equity promotion, and community enrichment in Topeka, Kansas.
Marisol’s academic journey includes studies in Marketing and Business Administration, Mortuary Science, and Music Education. At Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, she supports families through life’s most difficult moments with compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to service. Marisol’s professional goal is to become a partner at the funeral home, furthering her impact within the community while continuing to provide exceptional care to those she serves.
Marisol is actively involved in community-building initiatives, having graduated from the Leadership Greater Topeka Class of 2023 and being recognized as a YWCA Woman of Excellence. She is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and a volunteer with Junior Achievement of Kansas. As the Publicity Chair for Fiesta Topeka, she fosters cultural awareness and community engagement.
Marisol’s leadership extends to her roles on the boards of the Valeo Foundation, Child Care Aware, and the Leadership Greater Topeka Advisory Board. A 2024 graduate of the Kansas Emerging Leaders program, she is committed to making Topeka a welcoming, inclusive, and empowering community where all residents feel valued and supported
