My Biography:
Mervin Oghenero Simon I'm a dynamic Nigerian entrepreneur, social impact advocate, and development strategist with a passion for creating sustainable solutions across ICT, agriculture, renewable energy, and community development. I hail from Ughelli North in Delta State and currently based in Bayelsa State, i have consistently leveraged my skills, knowledge, and network to empower local communities and uplift underserved populations.
I'm the founder and managing director of OYIS TECH SERVICES NIG LTD, a multifaceted company that operates in the sectors of renewable energy, agriculture, oil and gas, real estate, ICT, and general merchandise. Through this company, I have spearheaded different solar energy installations for both residential and commercial clients, promoting clean energy and environmental sustainability. The company also conducts regular training programs, equipping young people with practical skills in solar installation, ICT, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
I'M a seasoned agriculturalist, I deeply involved in plantain farming, cocoa, palm and poultry production, combining modern techniques with grassroots engagement. my agricultural ventures not only contribute to food security but also serve as platforms for training and job creation, particularly for youth and women in rural areas.
My commitment to social impact led to the establishment of HOPE ALIVE IMPACT FOUNDATION, a non-governmental organization focused on Charity, health, youth empowerment, and community development. Through this foundation, i plan to launch several initiatives targeting vulnerable groups, providing support, organizing skill acquisition programs, Clean Water and offering small grants to local farmers and SMEs.
In addition, I'm the Co-visionary behind the Living Dream Foundation, a growing initiative aimed at inspiring and supporting young people to pursue their dreams through mentorship, empowerment, and leadership development. The foundation focuses strongly on child education and social empowerment, providing access to learning materials, school support programs, and educational outreach while also creating opportunities for young people to gain employment through vocational training and community projects. I work closely with schools, faith based groups, and grassroots organizations to deliver programs that inspire, educate, and empowerment.
I also plays a pivotal role in cooperative development as the president of New Hope Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited. The cooperative is dedicated to promoting financial inclusion, agribusiness/training, and small business support. It serves as a community based platform for economic empowerment, fostering a culture of savings, collaboration, and innovation among our members.
With over ₦20 million in annual revenue and a market reach extending to hundreds of individuals across local, regional, and national levels, my business and nonprofit efforts have positioned me as a catalyst for positive change. My team includes a dedicated staff of both full-time and part-time professionals, with a strong representation of female employees, underscoring my commitment to inclusive growth and gender equity.
I holds certifications and training in renewable energy systems, agricultural management, ICT, and entrepreneurship development. As a certified ICT trainer, I empowers young people and aspiring professionals with relevant digital skills, including computer and mobile phones hardware, digital marketing, and basic informations, preparing them for today’s technology-driven economy. My strong background in hands-on training and leadership has made me sought after resource person for empowerment programs and community development workshops.

I aims to build innovation hubs, agribusiness incubators, and vocational schools that will equip people with the skills and resources needed to break the cycle of poverty and dependence. My long-term dream is to raise a generation of ethical, visionary leaders and entrepreneurs who will drive sustainable development across Africa.
