Victoria Mejuru

Victoria Nkechinyere Mejuru is a passionate agripreneur, biochemist, and climate change expert dedicated to transforming Africa’s agricultural landscape through sustainable and climate-smart innovations. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of VickyGoshen EcoFarms, an integrated agribusiness that promotes eco-friendly livestock production, regenerative agriculture, and food security across rural communities in Nigeria.

Victoria’s work focuses on building agricultural resilience to climate change by educating farmers on sustainable practices that enhance productivity while minimizing environmental degradation. Through her initiatives, she empowers youth and women in agriculture, bridging the gap between environmental sustainability and agrifood systems transformation.

A graduate of Biochemistry, Victoria has gained advanced training in Good Agricultural Practices and has been admitted to the University of Viçosa, Brazil, to study Animal Breeding and Genetics. She has participated in several prestigious programs, including the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) West Africa, African Impact Academy, Aspire Institute (Harvard-based program), and Enterprise Development Centre AgroHack Challenge, where she demonstrated outstanding leadership in climate-smart agriculture and rural development.

In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Victoria is the founder of the EcoSisters Foundation ,an initiatives designed to promote environmental stewardship, youth empowerment, and gender inclusion in climate action. She actively volunteers with organizations such as WOFAN (Women Farmers Advancement Network), Citizens Assembly, and J&T Foundation, mentoring farmers and advocating for sustainable agricultural reforms.

Victoria’s innovative approach to agribusiness includes pioneering the use of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) technology to convert organic waste into protein feed, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and lowering the cost of animal production. Her contributions have earned her recognition at the African Climate Forum, Africa Food Changemakers, and the Africa Agriculture Summit, where she continues to advocate for a sustainable and inclusive food system.

A multilingual leader fluent in English and French, Victoria is driven by a vision to build climate-resilient food systems, reduce poverty, and empower rural communities across Africa. Through her work at VickyGoshen EcoFarms and beyond, she exemplifies how innovation, leadership, and compassion can drive impactful change in the face of global climate challenges.
