Mohammed Ahmed is the founder and the proprietor of prime institute for vocational and technology education a startup institute, that envisage to be a center providing excellent and world class technical products, services and quality demand-driven training in vocational and technical occupations. The institute aims to produce ecosystem of skilled human power that can respond to growing demand of essential technical products and services and maximize opportunities for employment in the Nigerian labor market. Prime institute of VTE target customers includes school drop outs, lay-technicians and in-service trainees who want to up-grade their skills and youth who want to take a career course or apprenticeship program and become self-reliant after graduation. The robust industrial experience of prime institute of VTE team enable them to harmonize curriculum and tailored it to be demand-driven mechanism for the institute blending theory and practical aspects to align during the training session and implore other strategies so as to ensure a candidate become successful and competent employee or be self-reliant after graduation. Mohammed leading the institute is to ensure a successful establishment of others, reform and institutionalize non- formal practice of technology and partner with government and other organizations toward promoting skills acquisition training for sustainable development and economic growth. Mohammed responsibilities in the institute encompass general monitoring of the branded curriculum compliance and implementation, general administration, supervision and procurements. Prime institute of VTE is currently running a pilot phase so as to test and determine the effectiveness and efficiency of this harmonized curriculum with 73 student and 6 instructors under a community sponsorship, despite the fact that the institute is still processing for its formal registration. Mohammed was born and brought up in Bauchi town, Nigeria where he did most of his schooling and gained the industrial background that push him to aspired for the creation of this institute. Mohammed worked at Steyr Nigeria Limited as a workshop attendant then later move to Asbestos Nigeria Limited where he serves as a Crane Operator. In the year 2001 he joined Nigerian Railway Corporation as a mechanical fitter and later becomes a locomotive driver. After furthering his education in vocational and technology education, Mohammed then joined teaching working as a technical and vocational teacher through which he rose up to vice principal admin, Mohammed venture into the world of entrepreneurship in the year 2018 after establishing critical analysis and research on the problems that contributes to high rates of unemployment in the country, which he discover that is as a result of mismatch and supply driven nature of training at our tertiary institutions that couple with lack of skills up-grade and re institutionalization of road side garages and workshops. Mohammed Ahmed holds a second class upper degree in vocational and technology education (Automobile Technology Education) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, presently he is undergoing his M. Tech program in the same university.
