Motsile Sebopa

Moh customs and conceptuals is a Local premium brand that was founded in 2020 out of my passion for fashion and entrepreneurship.
I have no formal training in fashion but that didn't stop the passion to succeed. Dedicating 10 year of my time towards a non linear order of training through volunteer work, workshops, skills development programs and informal internships. While balancing employment in the fashion industry as an International brands ambassador for 5 years in different retail department and flagship stores. Finally gain the courage to go into business in 2018, unregistered, just to get a feel of it and determine if i could handle the pressure. Which wasn't much of a success, sendind me back to the drawing board.
In 2019, Volunteered to assist a fellow fashion designer (Ephrecia Teffo) in starting up their brand so i could learn the back ropes. Basing me in the Limpopo Province for 8 months. Came back to Pretoria the same year to assist Nthando Ngwenya For South African Fashion Week. Which led to an opportunity that got me working along side the industry giant David Tlale for his Show Voslo to New York.

In 2020, With all the first hand experience i had obtained. I felt confident to officially start Moh Customs and Conceptuals. As now i had obtain the necessary skills in the following:

- Textile Graphic
- Pattern Drafting
- Clothing Construction
- Fashion Illustration and style analysis
- Customer service Excellence
- Visual Merchandising

And with the help of my retail experience i had an idea of how the day to day life of a brand within a department and flagship store.
Fast forward to 2022 where i got knowledge of GEN through Pretty Ndlovu. Under her guidance got to venture into ecosystem development Under one of the programs GEN offers(start up Huddle) that was established in Atteridgeville, Of which I'm still part of to date.
Through the program I signed myself the position of presenter recruiter as i believe i have experience in entreprenerial matters and was familiar with local businesses that might need the proper guidance in thriving or level up but in return educate myself in managing first empressions which was beneficial to the my company and the community of Atteridgeville as a whole.

Finding sustainable ways to approach fashion is at the heart of what my company strives for. Fostering change and economical growth in townships is just a bonus while doing what i love. So being part of GEN only made sense. Currently we are in the begining of our 5th year in business. and we looking forward to see how the year carries us to greater heights.
