Mary-Lynne Rivera

Dr. Mary Lynne Rivera obtained a bachelor’s degree, Magna Laude, with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She also holds an M.B.A. in Finance and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico. In May 2020, she completed her doctorate in business (DBA) with a specialty in Management from the Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Gurabo Campus. Her lines of research are innovation, innovation in individuals, employee behavior in remote work, and fraud, among others. As part of her professional experience, she worked as an auditor at KPMG, one of the four largest accounting firms in the world ("Big Four"), and in corporate taxes at local accounting firms. Dr. Rivera was a full-by-term professor for the Business Administration Department at the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey Campus, for almost 12 years. Subsequently, she became a Senior Consultant in federal and state law compliance for COMPAS Consulting Group, where she also served as Project Manager for special projects. She is an Assistant Professor at the Business, Tourism, and Entrepreneurship Division of the Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Cupey Campus. She teaches courses in the areas of finance, business law, and entrepreneurship at the graduate and undergraduate levels. She is a pet lover, loves the beach, and enjoys nature in general.
