Combining his interest in science, technology, and economic development, Musawwir Muhtar currently leads Morbi+. Morbi+ empowers rural-poor woman by developing affordable and nutritious biscuit utilizing abundant indigenous food based products, Moringa oleifera to be processed with effective and efficient technology in order to tackle malnutrition problem which widely suffered by children under the age of five particularly in Indonesia. Prior to Morbi+, Musawwir served as the Global Innovation through Science and Technology - Techology Idea (GIST Tech-I) Alumni Mentor under the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Musawwir and Morbi+ have been featured on AAAS Entrepreneur, EuroNews, Barilla Foundation, Singapore International Foundation and hundreds of others publication. Previously, Musawwir has been recognized as East West Center (EWC) Alumni Leadership Impact Award Nominee, Philips Innovation Award, Young Social Entrepreneur (YSE) Singapore Interantional Foundation and Young Leaders for Indonesia (YLI) by McKinsey & Co. He always been interested in how communities and technology interact to solve the world's problem. He is a frequent speakers on social impact and millenial entrepreneurship. Recently, he have been selected to represent Morbi+ at YSEALI Impact XL. The innovative Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Regional Workshop that enhance the ASEAN startup ecosystem and accelerate early-stage, social and environmentally beneficial entreprise (The project is under accomplishment).
