Edmond Ng'walago

Edmond Ng’walago is the Founder and CEO of Ngwala Inventions Limited and Ng’wilago Youth Transcend, with expertise in research, innovation execution, and business management from Stanford University (2022). He has dedicated half of his life working with smallholder farmers on climate-smart agribusiness technologies, including AI models, ManuTech, IoT sensors, databases, solar energy, bulk SMS, and Chatbots. He has 8 years of experience in Climate smart farming.

For three years, he has volunteered with marginalized smallholder farmers, addressing climate change challenges and limited access to modern agricultural tools. His deep understanding of poverty, economic disruptions, and inefficient farming practices has fueled his commitment to developing affordable, scalable solutions.

Edmond previously served as Agribusiness Manager for Youth Agripreneur Projects and Agribusiness Development Officer for Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation Program (2017-2018). Since 2019, he has mentored African youth in climate-smart agricultural technologies, earning Impact Mentor recognition from the French Development Agency (2023 and 2024). He has represented rural youth and women farmers at major global forums, including COP27, the World Bank Youth Summit (2023), and the World Food Forum (2024).

He founded Ngwala Inventions Limited in 2019, developing Vuna Fresh Bio-Pesticide, a low-cost organic pesticide and fertilizer that enhances soil health and increases yields in dry conditions. Currently used by hundred thousand smallholder farmers from African, help tripling yields while conserving the environment. He also pioneered solar-powered bio-pesticide and bio-fertilizer dispensing machines and a low-cost quantum AI model for water and energy optimization, saving 60% of water and 50% of energy while boosting yields. In 2021, he established Ngwilago Youth Transcend and pioneered cutting-edge technologies such as FEED 2050, an AI-driven, offline-enabled platform for precision irrigation and crop management.

His leadership in environmental conservation, food security, and poverty alleviation has earned global recognition, including awards from FAO, UNDP, UNESCO, World Bank, MIT Solv[ED], AFD and the mass challenge, among others. His aspiration is to scale FEED 2050 globally, leveraging AI and green technologies to drive food security, economic empowerment, and environmental conservation. With a strong global network, Edmond continues to drive sustainable agricultural innovation and climate resilience across the World.
