Nigel McClammy is an entrepreneur and information governance professional with over 25 years of experience in the field. He began his career in information technology in 1995 while obtaining his degrees in International Affairs and Political Science. After founding his first company in 2000, he acquired 13 years experience in IT consulting and industry work in government, education, and healthcare. Nigel became an advocate for Information Governance (InfoGov) while supporting his first e-discovery forensics case in 2008. He leveraged data discovery tools to support legal counsel resulting in favorable outcomes. Since then, he expanded his experience from IT to Cybersecurity, Data, and Privacy, and industries such as financial services, consumer products, and more. He has advised companies and individuals on data protection, including working with teams on some of the largest data breach remediation cases and assessments in the United States.

Nigel contributes and invests in technology startups, vendors, consulting firms, and clients of all sizes. He keeps Information Governance and interdisciplinary collaboration constant while working within siloed consulting firms, vendors, and client companies; gathering knowledge of their strengths and weaknesses to navigate toward success. Information Governance is often-misinterpreted as ‘data governance’; however, Nigel strives to clarify data governance is only a part of InfoGov - the collaboration of business, security, legal, privacy, data, and risk.

Recent team leadership wins include clients of a big four consulting and cybersecurity firms which implemented data classifications, identity access, regulatory requirements, optimization, remediation, and technology.
