Dr. Nambor KANFOR-LARE is a dedicated development professional with over 15 years of experience designing and managing impactful programs that empower young people and women in Togo and West Africa. Trained as a clinical and health psychologist, he brings together technical expertise, visionary leadership, and a deep commitment to community-driven solutions.
Since 2022, he has served as the Technical Advisor for Skills and Opportunities in Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (SOYEE) at Plan International Togo. In this role, he contributed to shaping the 2024–2028 country strategy, developed an innovative operational framework for Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA), and supported over 37,000 young people 62% of them women—in developing business skills and accessing funding for more than 10,000 business plans in partnership with local financial institutions.
Previously, as the Coordinator of the Youth Empowerment in West Africa (YEWA) program, he worked closely with youth-led organizations and local partners to strengthen their capacities, foster collaboration, and mobilize resources. His leadership in launching the “BOOST” competition and training 1 400 educators in non-violent teaching methods improved the learning environment for over 17,000 students.
Dr. Nambor’s collaborative approach has led him to work hand-in-hand with government bodies, NGOs, youth networks, and private sector actors. He is known for his ability to build meaningful partnerships grounded in local realities and to drive lasting impact particularly for young women entrepreneurs.
He believes that true transformation begins with people and that local resilience and collective intelligence are the keys to building an inclusive future.
