Olivera Kostovska

My name is Olivera Kostovska, 25 years old, by profession economist. I have about 2.5 years of experience in working for the chambers of commerce in Macedonia: MASIT (Macedonian Chamber for ICT) and MCC (Macedonian Chambers of Commerce), as coordinator of the ICT Chamber, web administrator and project officer in the Enterprise Europe Network.

Currently, I am part of a project, www.hitlancer.com, funded by the Alumni Engagement Innovation Competition, US State Department, whose goal is to create the first freelancing platform in Macedonia, for the purpose of matching freelancers (people with certain skills and competencies) with companies or individuals in need of temporary engaging this type of people.

Moreover, I am in the process of starting my own business, Laundry Cafe, a place where people can wash and dry their clothes and meanwhile they can read a book, have a coffee or simply search the Internet. This is something I developed during the 1st Start-up Academy 2013-14, organized by the Summer Work and Travel Alumni Macedonia (SWTA).

The past few years, increasing my network with like-minded people, people of vision and experienced people, has been really important to me. I had the opportunity to attend world-class events, such as the Pioneers Festival 2014 in Vienna, Austria; Rhodes Youth Forum and World Public Dialogue 2014; 8th World Chambers Congress 2013 in Doha, Qatar; Enterprise Europe Network Annual Conference 2013 in Vilnius, Lithuania and others. These inspiring events have enriched me not only with ideas, knowledge and experience, but also a base of invaluable contacts that will be of great support for my future career pathway.
