Olu Burrell

Olutosin “Olu” Burrell is President & C.E.O. of Spoken IV Solutions LLC d/b/a Olu BurrellConsulting. As a polymath, Olu wears the multiple hats of a Keynote Speaker, Executive/Leadership Coach, [People] Matter Expert, Writer, Knowledge Philanthropist, Organization Development and Change Leadership Practitioner and has more than two decades of experience working with clients across the local and federal government, private, not-for -profit, start-up, and both secondary and higher education sectors.

Mark Twain once said, “The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day
you figure out why.” The day Olu was born was May 19th; the day he figured out why was February 14, 2011. For it was on that day that he realized for the first time in his life that his whole first name—Olutosin—was an anagram for the word “solution.” Since that revelation, Olu has committed to being a scholar, practitioner, catalyst and thought leader of his crafts.

Olu has consulted, coached and served as keynote speaker/facilitator such client systems as Block Inc.,
the Federal Bar Association, ATD, Capital One, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, the Executive Leadership Council, and Yum! Brands. In addition to his consulting practice,

Olu is deeply involved in executive education, serving in coaching capacities at three U.S.-based universities: George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, American University’s Key Executive Leadership Programs and the Executive MBA Program at the Olin School of Business at Washington University of St. Louis.

Prior to his consulting experience, Olu worked in the nation’s capitol’s leading employer in human
resources, where he trained and coached senior agency leaders while managing the premier executive leadership program that prepared select executive agency leaders for cabinet-level positions reporting to the Mayor of Washington, D.C.
A natural communicator, Olu counts storytelling as part of his strengths and, where appropriate, includes
them in his engagements as he encourages his clients to compose their own legend. A student of inquiry, he treats the interrogative as the imperative in achieving breakthrough. A recent transplant from Washington, DC, Olu resides in Indianapolis, IN, USA with his wife Farran, their two children, Samara and Solomon, and their pup, Asher Tobias.

Education:
