Bakang Palai is a global citizen, advocate of green Economy and believes in real estate / infrastructure development as wealth creation mechanism to eradicate poverty in Africa. He has already established himself as an ethical professional and credible force to reckon with within the property and construction industry in Southern Africa. Bakang has over 9 years’ experience in real estate developments and investments .His passion for real estate far exceeds his relentless commitment to his clients and also his extreme enthusiasm toward the progression of the real estate industry in Botswana and Africa. He is currently the director at GFI Property Group .Previously he was employed as Property Developments/Investments Manager at Khumo Property Asset Management (Botswana) subsidiary of Eris Property Group and BIFM – (May 2009 to 2015). He started his career at RMB Properties January 2008-June 2008 (SA), Eris Property Group July 2008-May 2009 (SA) before joining Khumo PAM. He graduated from University of Cape Town in 2007 with a BSc Property Studies and currently completing a Master’s of Science in Property Developments and Building at University Witwatersrand .He recently completed a certificate in Auctioneering at the SA College of Auctioneering School in August 2016.He has worked successfully on projects that combines a total of over $100 million which includes Airport Junction Shopping Mall , Virgin Active ,Turn star Building Refurbishment, Town Lodge Hotel ,Rail Park Shopping Centre Refurbishment ,Game City Phase 2 Extension- (Leasing and Tenant Coordination),FNB Head Office Botswana and One-O-One Industrial (SA).

He is the Chairman\Co-founder of Botswana Green Building Council, currently serving as Independent Grading Accessor for Botswana Tourism Organization since 2014 .He was selected to represent Botswana for the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship 2015 (University of Nevada, Reno) under Business and Entrepreneurship , an Initiative by President Barack Obama in supporting young Africa leaders in fulfilling their full potential in becoming change agents in Africa .He is a registered property valuer, estate agent ,property manager and member of Real Estate Institute of Botswana and Real Estate Advisory Council.Beyond his professional career he has over 15 years’ experience working with different business organization and NGOs from early age to present at global, national and community level focusing mainly on areas of youth empowerment , HIV Aids ,climate change and business leadership. He has superior interpersonal skills backed with his credibility, consistency and broad based business acumen with a well-earned reputation for delivering value added services to the vision of any organization he is affiliated with.He has also represented Botswana in COSSASA under 19 Basket Ball Team and trained with Shukokai Karate as a first –dan brown belt .
