Priyanka Rao

Priyanka Rao is a Principal at FHI Ventures where she leads strategy, deal sourcing, investor relations and portfolio management. Priyanka brings deep experience developing innovative solutions to cross-cutting issues in healthcare, education and economic development in roles in the public and private sector in management consulting, entrepreneurship, impact investing and international development.

Priyanka has also led organization-wide efforts that strengthen the innovation culture and architecture at FHI360, including the development of commercialization strategies for internal assets and formulation of business model innovations and private sector engagement models. At FHI 360, she has also managed corporate strategic planning and supported executive and senior leadership in identifying opportunities for alternative business models and guided the development and execution of long-term strategies. Prior to joining FHI 360, Priyanka worked in management consulting on a broad range of projects serving federal government and nonprofit clients in innovation, economic development, social entrepreneurship and business growth strategies at The Leading Niche and on commercial strategy with global Fortune 50 pharmaceutical clients at The CDM Group’s Consulting Division. She has worked with tech start-ups on competitor benchmarking, sales, and investor engagement.

Priyanka has an undergraduate degree in international studies from Michigan State University, holds a master’s degree in international affairs from The New School University and completion of graduate coursework in philanthropy, public policy and nonprofit management from the University of Chicago.
