My current work involves helping social entrepreneurs, ecopreneurs and techpreneurs develop and grow their brands, leveraging the power of storytelling and the vast digital tools online. I've had the pleasure of working in every core business function over the past 10 years, growing into a Project Management role within the IT Infrastructure sector; working on multi-million dollar projects with an amazing group of people; whilst pursuing my studies in Marketing. The lessons over the years have equipped me with strong business acumen and expertise, as well as the ability to understand the challenges that affect small businesses. We live in a world where it no longer matters what you do, but how you do it. This world challenges us as entrepreneurs to bring forth regenerative, innovative ideas in response to crises and the ever-changing needs of our world. I am thrilled to have found my roots in creativity and storytelling; and founded a Digital Creative Agency called Virtuoso Digital - helping brands develop an impactful and sustainable online brand presence. Our mission is to transform the world through stories that connect people, and change lives through the business of doing good. My keen interest in sustainability and the circular economy have inspired the inception of my new venture - Slow Textiles South Africa, which is a textile recycling company that aims to empower communities in collaboration with businesses and the environment. I am extremely excited to have joined one of the Global Entrepreneurship Network programs' - Startup Huddle as the Chapter Director and Organiser. Through the Startup Huddle chapters, GEN aims to unite and develop entrepreneurial ecosystems around the globe, by supporting entrepreneurs through challenges as well as providing a platform to grow internationally. My aim with this incredible partnership is to grow a community of impact-driven entrepreneurs in Townships and Rural areas, the forgotten places that no one ever cares about providing opportunities for. There's hidden talent and unheeded dreams in these places; and it's time we told their stories and built wealth for the next generation.
