Flavio Quembo

Flávio Quembo is the Mozambique GEW Host, Vice-President of the Mozambican Association of Political Scientists (AMCP), member of the International Political Science Association(IPSA), and the former president of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), with 12 years of local and international experience working with research, youth, institutional and business environment reform. His most recent focus has been on global governance and UN reform. A consultant working on analyzing revolutionary behavior indicators political sustainability and observing strategies, biodiversity, social and economic development. He is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Eduardo Mondlane. He is an International Visitors Leadership Program alumni of the Government of the United States of America under the theme Entrepreneurship as a vehicle for the promotion of prosperity and stability – IVLP Fellowship (USA - 2015); He also participated at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (Nairobi, Kenia - 2016); invited by United Nation, Mediterranean, Africa and Middle East Young Entrepreneurs Network (2017). He is interested in studying the relationship between science and politics and as such has participated in many conferences on ecology, political science, ethics, and entrepreneurship. He has participated and been a speaker at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in Manama, Bahrain - 2018; Istanbul, Turkey - 2017; Johannesburg, South Africa - 2016; Medellin, Colombia - 2015, the World Congress of Political Science in Brisbane, Australia - 2018 and virtually in 2021, and at the International Political Science Association’ Conference – Hannover, Germany 2016. He research interests are on institutional legitimacy to explain political sustainability, "Global Governance and the Emergence of Global Institutions".
