Racine Sarr

Mamadou Racine Sarr is a Senegalese entrepreneur and impact-driven innovator with over a decade of experience at the intersection of finance, logistics, and digital commerce. He is the founder and CEO of Shopmeaway, a cross-border e-commerce and logistics platform launched in 2015, designed to provide individuals and businesses in underserved regions—especially in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East—with access to global products and supply chains.

Prior to launching Shopmeaway, Racine built a career in international banking and asset management, where he developed a strong foundation in financial strategy, risk management, and corporate development. He later transitioned into entrepreneurship with a vision to bridge the gap between global markets and local consumers in emerging economies.

Under his leadership, Shopmeaway has served over 26,000 customers, facilitated the transport of 275,000 kg of goods, and built operational hubs connecting France, the U.S., China, and Dubai to West and Central Africa. The platform combines a B2C marketplace, a B2B procurement SaaS model, and a scalable logistics solution tailored to fragmented markets.

Racine is a Tony Elumelu Foundation fellow (2015 cohort), a graduate of the Draper University entrepreneurship program in Silicon Valley, and an Alibaba eFounders fellow, which further anchored his belief in digital innovation as a tool for inclusive growth.

Beyond Shopmeaway, he is also a partner at Reshift Africa, a startup that promotes renewable energy adoption and sustainable technologies across the continent, and serves as coordinator of Afriware, a consortium of logistics companies focused on modernizing trade infrastructure in Senegal.

Deeply committed to ecosystem-building, Racine actively mentors young entrepreneurs through local and pan-African innovation networks. He is particularly passionate about nature, wildlife, and the creation of long-term sustainable ecosystems—both ecological and economic. For him, inclusive trade, environmental responsibility, and digital transformation must go hand in hand to shape the future of emerging markets.
