Rainier Mallol

Rainier Mallol is passionate about creating new technologies to positively impact people's lives. Mallol is co-founder and COO of AIME, a company that uses epidemiology, public health best practices and artificial intelligence to predict deadly outbreaks, aiding world governments in tackling diseases even before they happen. Harvard University selected him to be the unique delegate from the Dominican Republic to participate in events such as the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations and the Harvard Initiative for Latin American Relations. In early 2015, Mallol was the only dominican participant of PennApps, the premier hackathon of the United States, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.  He was accepted into the Singularity University's Graduate Studies Program in 2015. The program was aimed to empower leaders and accomplished innovators to apply exponential technologies to address humanity’s grand challenges at the NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley, California. After his time in NASA, Mallol has been chosen by Forbes International as the top 40 finalist for "World Changes 2015". Rainier was also selected as the Dominican Youth Ambassador for Expo Milano 2015 in Milan, being the country representative of the youth in a multicultural environment with world leaders. With AIME, Mallol has been able efficiently tackle life threatening diseases, specifically the ones called Dengue and Zika. Under Rainier's direction, AIME is now aiding the government of Sao Paulo in Brazil, in tackling the diseases in a more efficient way. The company has also been awarded with two more titles: Best Health Startup in Latin America and Top 8 startups in Southeast Asia. At 24 years old, Rainier is successfully tackling global issues with innovation and social good.
