Randi Miller

My name is Randi Miller, and I am from The Bahamas. My career has been built around one thing: bringing projects to life. I began my professional journey in property development and project management, where I developed a strong foundation in planning, coordination, operations, and delivering projects from concept to completion. From there, I expanded my experience into several industries, managing projects across the cruise and maritime sector and working in event coordination.

Today, I have found myself in a sector I never expected: education and entrepreneurship. I currently serve as Project Coordinator for UB IGNITE, an entrepreneurship initiative at the University of The Bahamas, sponsored by IDB Lab. In this role, I help plan, coordinate, and deliver programs that support entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout the 700 islands and cays of The Bahamas.

My work involves managing programs and courses from start to finish, coordinating workshops, boot camps, business incubators, pitch competitions, and entrepreneurship events, while building partnerships with government agencies, private sector organizations, international partners, and members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. I also support sponsorship development, stakeholder engagement, program operations, and the day-to-day execution of initiatives that help entrepreneurs gain the skills, knowledge, and connections they need to succeed.

What I enjoy most about this role is watching people bring their ideas to reality. There is something incredibly rewarding about helping someone take the first steps toward building a business or watching a program come together knowing it will have a positive impact on people's lives. Although my background spans several industries, I've realized that the skills I've developed throughout my career in project management, relationship building, problem-solving, and organization have all married together beautifully.

I'm excited to continue growing in this space, building meaningful partnerships, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen entrepreneurship and support the future of The Bahamas and the region at large.
