Ryan Beckmand

I'm a passionate advocate behind VR/AR and AI disruption, particularly within the education and training space, an award winning tech entrepreneur, international Speaker (GEC), startup mentor, and innovation consultant. Following experiences working across roles with nonprofits, universities, and even defense, I founded my first VR startup, Sciosity, to create VR simulations and analytics platforms for schools, universities, and high risk industries. 2 years later, Sciosity has become a prominent startup in the VR EdTech space, with clients / partners across both Western Australia and Singapore. Sciosity has also recently undertaken social impact projects in the form of VR documentaries as an immersion tool behind social issues across the Middle East. In that time I've been fortunate enough to be honoured with awards in Australia, Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore. These include the Australian Championship & Global Finals of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards, the 2016 GYES Singapore Business Innovation Competition, the top five startups in the Asia Pacific Region at the Talent Unleashed Awards, including other awards in Australia such as Spacecubed Intensify, Ignition Growth, Curtin Accelerate, Australia SMART 100, and more.  Going forward with my life, I'm consistently seeking opportunities to work with fellow entrepreneurs on exciting innovation / social impact projects, as well as share my experiences and lessons to push entrepreneurs and innovators forward.
