BENDIB RIAD

Riad Ben Dib is a professor in the Department of Petrochemistry at Skikda University, Algeria. Dr. Ben Dib earned his PhD from the National Institute of Electronics and Electricity (INELEC) at Boumerdes University, Algeria. Currently, he is a member of the Intelligent Systems and Safety Team at the Mechanics Laboratory of Skikda University, where he co-leads a research project titled "Enhancing Performance in Petrochemical Plants Using Artificial Intelligence Tools." He also oversees a doctoral training committee in the petrochemical industries division focusing on similar topics.

Over the years, Dr. Ben Dib has held various positions at Skikda University, including Head of the Petrochemistry Division and later Head of the Department of Petrochemistry. Currently, he serves as the Director of the university's scientific incubator, which aims to popularize AI technologies and identify student talents to provide solutions that drive the national economy forward.

Additionally, he is an expert and consultant at Sonatrach - Refining and Petrochemicals Division - Algeria's leading oil and gas company. He specializes in designing intelligent control systems and has represented the company on numerous international assignments in partnership with global firms such as South Korea's SAMSUNG SECL, India's EIL, the UK's FS, Japan's YOKOGAWA, and Singapore's INVENSYS.

Dr. Ben Dib's research interests focus on developing AI-based tools to enhance safety, operational efficiency, and energy conservation, as well as applying these innovations in various life domains. He has published dozens of articles in national and international journals and supervised the organization of the International Conference on Petrochemistry and Energy Transitions (ICPET 23), which included participation from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
