Robert Granoff

I am an interior design and architecture photographer whose career started in New York City. I continue to work there and in the Midwest, where I am based. I’ve also completed projects throughout New England, California, Florida, and abroad.

Having the great fortune to travel the world from a young age, I’ve always had an interest in cultural diversity as it relates to how we design and inhabit space. As a result, my images explore and document our built environment.

More than 20 years ago I received my first commission, photographing the Philip Johnson-designed ddc furniture showroom on Madison Avenue for an advertisement published in the New York Times. Since then, I have photographed the interior design and architecture of many high-end retail establishments, residential homes, and the workplaces of international corporations such as Mitsubishi Finance, Elite Model Management, and Japan Society. My work has been published in AD, Dwell, Elle Décor, Robb Report, Wallpaper, and elsewhere.

Throughout my career, I have developed and maintained collaborative relationships with many talented people, including architects, designers, marketing agents, content producers, stylists, art directors and brand ambassadors.

Recently, I completed Mindvalley’s Advanced AI Mastery Program—a deep dive into the fast-evolving landscape of artificial intelligence. It was eye-opening in the best way. I came away not only with new skills in prompt engineering, custom GPT development, no-code app building, and AI-driven automation, but also with a broader perspective on what AI can be. Not a replacement for creativity, but a catalyst for it.

I now use AI daily to streamline and enhance my creative workflows—from research and contract analysis to learning new technical skills that formerly I outsource. I’m actively collaborating with other AI enthusiasts and professionals to build systems that help us do more of what we do best: create, connect, and evolve.

When I’m not traveling for projects out of town, I live in the countryside near Indianapolis with my Hoosier wife, two kids, and several pets—always ready to photograph that next inspiring space or structure.
