Ruzan Melik Yolchyan

I am an entrepreneur, educator, and ecosystem builder with a deep passion for innovation, travel, and sustainability. With a strong background in project and product management, I have had the opportunity to play a key role in shaping Armenia’s startup ecosystem and helping mold the next generation of business leaders.

I am the founder of Leaptrips, an experiential tourism platform that allows travelers to explore workplaces as part of their journey. In addition, I am the Head of Department and a lecturer at multiple universities in Armenia, where I teach Business Analysis, Business Planning, and Project Management. My teaching philosophy focuses on hands-on learning, case studies, and real-world applications, ensuring my students graduate with practical experience and portfolio-worthy projects.

I have also spearheaded initiatives like Yerevan Startup Hub: Powered by Draper, a platform designed to bring together Armenian innovators and global startup expertise. Through this, I have organized and participated in major industry events, such as Digitec and a hackathon on IT solutions in tourism, collaborating with key stakeholders in Armenia’s tech and business landscape.

A passionate traveler and advocate for sustainable tourism, I have hosted talks on Green Traveling and actively integrate veganism and environmental consciousness into both my personal and professional life. My love for exploration is reflected in my travels across Europe, where I seek out local and experiential activities that go beyond the ordinary tourist experience.

With a strong vision for innovation, education, and community-building, I continue to drive impactful projects that bridge the gap between academia, startups, and tourism.
