**Biography of S.M. Shozibul Islam**
*Youth Leader | Peace Ambassador | Public Administrator | Global Advocate*
S.M. Shozibul Islam is a passionate Bangladeshi leader with over eight years of multidisciplinary experience in public service, international diplomacy, higher education, and youth empowerment. Known for his strong commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), he has consistently served as a bridge between grassroots initiatives and global action.
Currently, Shozibul serves as the **Assistant Director and Personal Secretary to the Chairman** at the **International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC)**, where he oversees student development, strategic partnerships, and institutional advancement. In this capacity, he has led several youth-driven programs, fostered international academic collaborations, and guided university clubs in leadership and innovation.
His journey in public service began as **Assistant Personal Secretary to the Deputy Minister** at the **Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of Bangladesh**, where he played a vital role in implementing national youth development policies, coordinating sports initiatives, and facilitating cross-ministerial engagement. This experience laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to empowering youth.
Shozibul’s influence reaches far beyond national borders. He has proudly represented Bangladesh as a **Global Peace Ambassador (2024–2026)** with the **Global Peace Chain**, a United Nations-affiliated initiative. He also serves as an **Ambassador for the International School of Leadership and Diplomacy (ISLD)** and the **Voice for Rights International Association (Canada)**. Through these platforms, he advocates for human rights, inclusive leadership, and global citizenship.
He has been invited to speak and participate in numerous high-level international conferences and summits, including:
* **International Youth Conferences (IYC 7, 8, and 9,10,11 )** in the USA and South Asia
* **Youth Co\:Lab Summit** organized by UNDP and Citi Foundation
* **SDG 2030 Youth Summits** and Rotary Youth Leadership programs
* **Mental health campaign “Talk to Hope”** under the UN and Rotary umbrella
Shozibul is also a published media contributor and currently serves as **Country Director** of **USView Press & Foundation (USA)**, where he facilitates intercultural dialogue and youth storytelling initiatives. His leadership spans into disaster response, mental health advocacy, and community volunteering, reflecting a holistic commitment to both local development and global impact.
In the **past 2–5 years**, Shozibul has significantly expanded his international engagement. In 2023–24, he was selected as a **Motivational Speaker** for the **“Talk to Hope” project**, an international mental health initiative powered by the United Nations and Rotary clubs. He also played a leading advisory role in **Shadow Bangladesh**, contributing to youth-led mental health and disaster relief campaigns. In 2023, he attended the **South Asian Climate Action Conference in Nepal**, and was a delegate at the **UN Youth Assembly in the USA**—both key milestones in his growing role in climate diplomacy and intergovernmental youth advocacy.
Looking ahead, Shozibul aims to establish a **Global Youth Innovation Lab**, connecting South Asian youth with global mentors and policymakers to promote innovation, mental health resilience, and peacebuilding. He also plans to launch a cross-cultural leadership program in collaboration with UN-affiliated institutions to empower emerging leaders from marginalized communities.
Academically, he holds an **MBA in Management** and a **Bachelor's in Accounting**, complemented by advanced training in areas such as international finance (Malaysia), fire safety policy, youth entrepreneurship, and project management.
As the **founder of DREAM-28, a nonprofit youth-led organization, Shozibul has inspired dozens of young changemakers to lead with empathy and purpose. He is also a former **President of the Rotary Club of Voirob Khulna**, a champion debater, and a cultural ambassador recognized by UNESCO and multiple national bodies.
Outside of his professional roles, he is a talented stage performer, singer, and content creator with appearances on national TV and online media. He is also a regular blood donor and a committed volunteer during national emergencies.
With extensive international travel experience and deep community roots, **S.M. Shozibul Islam is a global youth leader committed to building peace, promoting education, and empowering the next generation.** He continues to advocate for dignity, dialogue, and development at every level of society.

Mentoring Experience
I have been involved in mentoring activities for more than 8 years, especially with young leaders, students, and emerging professionals. I have mentored more than a hundred students in developing leadership qualities, career planning, and social skills through managing student organizations and clubs at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). At the government level, while working in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, I have played a role in developing youth leadership in national-level youth development programs. At the international level, I have worked as a mentor and representative on platforms such as the Global Peace Chain, Youth Co\:Lab (UNDP), International Youth Conference, Voice for Rights International Association (Canada), associated with the United Nations. Through these experiences, I have worked to develop leadership, cooperation, and social responsibility among young people in a multinational and multicultural context.
