Ruth Arroyo Tovar

I am Ruth Arroyo Tovar, a Tourism and Hospitality Business Administrator, Doctor of Education with an emphasis on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), holder of a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Development, and a specialist in managerial skills, executive and corporate coaching, agile methodologies, and artificial intelligence applied to organizations. My professional career integrates academic, business, scientific, and social fields, through which I have contributed to the development of individuals, organizations, communities, and territories across Colombia and Latin America.

I serve as a university professor, researcher, organizational consultant, international speaker, entrepreneurship mentor, talent development specialist, entrepreneur, businesswoman, and author. Throughout my career, I have supported organizational transformation processes focused on leadership, innovation, sustainability, tourism, entrepreneurship, well-being, and business strengthening. My work bridges scientific knowledge with practical solutions designed to generate sustainable, measurable, and high-impact results.

Entrepreneurship has been one of the cornerstones of my professional journey. I hold an International Certification as an Entrepreneurship Mentor and have guided entrepreneurs, business leaders, undergraduate and graduate students in the creation, validation, strengthening, and scaling of business initiatives with economic and social impact. I have participated as a mentor in national and international entrepreneurship support programs, including Bridge for Billions and Conecta, contributing to the development of innovative projects across diverse industries and contexts.

As an entrepreneur and business leader, I have founded and led initiatives focused on technology integration, specialized education and training services, organizational consulting, business development, tourism, leadership, and human talent management. Through these endeavors, I have promoted sustainable growth models that generate value for organizations, communities, and society while fostering innovation and competitiveness.

As the author of seven published books and various academic publications, I have actively contributed to the generation, dissemination, and transfer of knowledge in areas such as education, managerial skills, organizational change, leadership, tourism, entrepreneurship, innovation, human development, and business management. My professional experience includes training, mentoring, and advising executives, entrepreneurs, educators, researchers, public and private sector leaders, and professionals from a wide range of productive sectors.

I have had the privilege of participating as a keynote speaker and presenter at national and international conferences, forums, and academic events, sharing knowledge and best practices related to leadership, entrepreneurship, education, innovation, organizational transformation, tourism, and sustainable development. I have also served as an academic and scientific peer reviewer in Colombia, Spain, and Mexico, contributing to the advancement of research and academic excellence.

In addition, I serve as a ProColombia Ambassador for international events, supporting the global positioning of Colombian knowledge, entrepreneurship, tourism, innovation, and talent. This role allows me to contribute to international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of opportunities that strengthen economic and social development.
