Safa Sharif AbdulKhaliq

Graduated with an MBA in Project Management from Malaysia and a Bachelors in Business Management from India as well as an Executive MBA in entrepreneurship from Beyster Institute; (University of California. I am also a Certified KPI Professional, Certified Strategic Planner, and Certified Train the Trainers. I have recently completed an executive training with Harvard Business School on 'Innovation and Strategy’ which is supporting my role in terms of developing high impact tactical long term plans for the Organization. 

I joined Tamkeen since November 2008 as an Analyst with the Planning & Business Development Department and is heavily engaged in strategic projects across diverse industries and functional areas including Corporate Planning & Strategy Development. I had also served as the Director of Public Relations and Media at the Project Management Institute – Arabian Gulf Chapter; Bahrain Region and has recently been selected and served as the “Chairwoman” of the Media and Public Relations Committee for the 2nd International Corporate Social Responsibility Conference & Exhibition 2015. 

I am currently heading the Corporate Planning Unit at Tamkeen with a main responsibility of mapping out the course of action for Tamkeen’s activities - in terms of developing, updating and refining Tamkeen’s organizational and market penetration strategy in support of Tamkeen’s objectives and mandates. This includes overseeing the development of economic sector strategies in order to support the design of customized / holistic solutions for each based on their relevance and attractiveness to the Bahraini Economy. Also, my area will be responsible for translating strategic objectives to operational plans for the Organization. In addition, of having an oversight of programs to ensure compliance to the set corporate strategy and the extent to which the objectives were met. In brief, my role is to continuously identify business stimulus concepts, productivity and innovation opportunities and other which could support regenerative growth engine for the private sector along with creating corporate level contingency plans / multiple scenario planning to refer to in case of emergency/unanticipated situations. 

Passionate about Public Speaking and has won several local and regional public speaking contests. She had successfully planned and organized the Youth Leadership Program with the Bahrain Society of Engineers and was also one of the main speakers at Bahrain’s first TEDex initiative in 2010. I was invited as a guest speaker at Prince Sultan University for Women in Riyadh and has led the Speech craft Committee for Tamkeen. She is also very much involved in voluntary activities where she has served as Master of Ceremonies and panel moderator for over 60 events locally and regionally and is currently an active member of inJAz facilitating presentations to high school and University students.
